24 Hours and counting

It has been a busy couple of weeks but we are delighted with our planning for the conference and the media response to the Press Releases we put out. At this time tomorrow delegates will be seated in the hall eagerly anticipating the start of this exciting QE2 50 Year Conference.

Major News article about QE2

In the run up to the conference, The QE2 Story was contacted by a Mirror Online journalist who was putting together a story on QE2’s 50th anniversary, and our conference.  We helped the journalist with press releases, imagery and connecting her with the people interviewed for the article.

The QE2 Story’s Motto is “Keeping The Legend Alive” and we believe that by helping make this article possible, we did exactly that.

Conference Tickets Waiting List

It is exciting to think that it is just over three weeks until the conference in Clydebank on 22 September.  The event committee had a very productive meeting at Clydebank Town Hall on Friday and would like to thank the West Dunbartonshire Council staff  for their support.

Please contact the event committee at events@theqe2story.com if you would like your name added to the waiting list for tickets, should there be any cancellation.

Forty days and counting

It is exciting to think that it is only forty days until the conference.  The event committee started the planning process, two years ago and are now working on the finer details to ensure we have a successful conference.  The delegate pack has been designed and we are currently working on the contents before we start work on the name badges.

Looking forward to meeting the delegates on 22 September.

Committee Meeting held today

Today saw the latest committee meeting being held at the Crowne Plaza in Glasgow.  Gavin, Lynda and John met to discuss progress with planning the conference.  The committee, who are all unpaid volunteers, have been hard at work behind the scenes for many months to ensure everything goes to plan on the day.  At the time of writing, there’s only 68 days left until the conference!
